Case Study
Winterbrook Planning
Winterbrook Planning wanted a new look and a new website. We worked with them to bring their logo, website, and online portfolio into the modern era.
Winterbrook Planning website, before rebrand
Winterbrook Planning was founded in 2001 by Tim Brooks and Greg Winterowd. Over the years, they have built up an outstanding reputation across the Pacific Northwest. They have a unique approach to the planning process, which combines resource planning and growth management and land use planning.
As part of the research and discovery phase, we conducted surveys of employees, clients, partners, and other trusted people in the field.
After thorough research and analysis, we formed a vision for the new brand:
LOGO
Their new logo signifies both the intricacy of the land use planning process, the symbolic representation of a city map, and the symbiotic relationship of resources and the built environment.
Website
Some of the pain points identified with the previous website included confusing navigation and organization, outdated color palette and font choices, and poor image quality.
We created a dynamic, interactive, and visually compelling website with sweeping images and a straightforward message.
The new website shows a company ready for what the future has in store–Winterbrook Planning has experience going back decades, but a website that shows they are growing and changing. Their new online portfolio highlights their extensive history and experience, and allows the user to find relevant experience by filtering projects by categories and services used.
IMAGES
Professional photos were used to document all the projects they wanted to highlight. These images replaced low resolution, blurry and blown-out photos taken while on-the-job.
They also chose to take new employee photos, which more accurately capture the essence of the brand moving forward.
Each photo aims to capture the essence of Winterbrook Planning–the seamless, harmonious relationship between natural resources and the manmade environment.
