Health Technology Collaborative, a health-based technology incubator located in Beaverton, Oregon, wanted a new website and logo.
Typography:
Their new font Avenir means “future” in French. While attempting to keep a relatively neutral and grounded reality-based feel, it still evokes a sense of futuristic possibilities. The words “HEALTH TECHNOLOGY” read strong and grounded, while “COLLABORATIVE” reads as a disperate collaboration of resources combining to make something together.
Form of icon:
While the strong, rectangular, letter-block “HTC” creates the reality-based foundation of the brand, the gold circle (centered around the “T” for technology) creates a connective, hopeful, and “thinking-outside-the-box” mindset that pushes HTC towards new frontiers.
Elliot LeBrun collaborated with Modern Edge to come up with a new logo, then created the brand style guide, fleshing out the brand as a whole, and contributed content and user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) advice for the website.
